This ice cream is amazing—absolutely delicious! I’m a huge fan of pistachio, and the pistachio flavor here is the best I’ve ever had. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Highly recommend!

Highlights: fruit flavors, staff Arguably the best gelato I've had across multiple trips to Italy and Rome. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and it was easy to tell that they were well versed in the product. I was expecting gimmicks because of proximity to landmarks but they take their gelato seriously here, using real fruit and high quality ingredients. They are not afraid to let you sample the entire array of flavors, and the staff made excellent suggestions. For example, I wanted a combination of the Fior di latte and their house dulce de leche; the server stopped me and said I should try both first since the dulce de leche (Gusta L'Arena) is just the Fior di Latte combined with their house made caramel sauce. He also explained the difference in process between the two fondente (same % but one uses milk and one uses water - I would recommend the milk for a more forward chocolate body and the water for a fruitier cacao flavor). All of the flavors we tried were delicious and most of my group went back for seconds and then thirds after dinner.

To put it mildly, this is the best gelato I have ever had in my life. I had to go back a second time in Rome and would gladly return when I go back! Staff were super friendly and knowledgable. The gelato was smooth, indulgent and flavourful yet not too sweet. Pro tip: take your gelato and go and enjoy it by the Castel Sant'Angelo a short walk away; a wonderful experience of gelato with a view!

Strawberry and dark chocolate are my favorite combination, both rich and indulgent. This was the perfect spot to recharge after using up all my energy waiting in line at Vatican City.

I’m not a gelato expert but it’s really good at L’Arena del Gelato. Nice shop and friendly staff.

L’Arena del Gelato was very tasty, the Nutella flavor was definitely my favorite! It’s a cute and cozy spot, perfect for a refreshing gelato break. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

I recently stopped by this charming gelato spot, and it was pure bliss from the first bite! I treated myself to scoops of dark chocolate and vanilla cream, and both were absolutely out of this world. The dark chocolate was rich, deep, and beautifully intense—perfect for any true chocolate lover. The vanilla cream, on the other hand, was luxuriously smooth with just the right touch of sweetness and an incredibly creamy texture that felt like a hug in a cone (in my case - a cup). The staff were friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about their craft. They took the time to chat and offer recommendations, which made the whole experience feel personal and inviting. The shop itself had a lovely, laid-back vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy every bite. If you’re looking for gelato that’s made with care and served with a smile, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back for more (and probably trying every flavor on the menu)!

Simply fantastic gelato. It was the perfect end to our day. The person behind the counter was excellent, knowledgeable about the flavors and allowed us to taste test. Best gelato we had in Rome. And great location close to the Vatican.
